2018-06-25 Update 2, Built and tested SMT version. I have to complete a couple of minor mods then submit BOM to SMT house for quote. Slowly getting there!
KX3 Band Decoder update: Finally got back to this project. I now have an SMT board built and tested. Smaller box. Nice front and rear panels. Two additional driver outputs. USB powered.
This version will provide the USB port for re-programming/hacking. I will put some basic pin driver (for the 4 extra output pins) so that they can be configured up/down for any of the standard BCD combinations used by Elecraft. Configuration access will be supplied through the serial port using a standard telnet connection (yes, you will need a telnet terminal program on your PC that can be connected to the USB serial port)
Once I’m happy with the boards and have found an SMT house to build them, I will order up a batch of 100.
So far, the price will remain the same.
Shipping date: TBD (sorry, just not ready to nail this down yet)
